Mentors

    For our mentors we have a professionally centered training
program designed for child care workers, counselors, day
care staff, foster care parents, teachers, support staff,
volunteers and parents who wish to become mentors with
The Colorado Mountain Goats Program.
    This program is for adults who already work with youth and
those who wish to work with youth, helping to enhance the
healthy development in all children, while modifying ineffective,
unhealthy relationships and behaviors in “at risk” youth.

Facilitators

Robert B. Wenzel, M.A. LPC

    Clinical Director & founder of Art of Redirection Counseling and The Colorado Mountain Goats with over 25 years experience working with adults and children.  Licensed as a Professional Counselor he utilizes both traditional and non-traditional methods in addressing individual, couples and family issues. He holds a Masters Degree in Counseling from CU Colorado Springs, a Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Metro State College in Denver and an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Ononadga Community College in Syracuse, New York.  Post Graduate training with Dr Doug Weiss PhD on sexual addiction.  He is married to Kathryn, the father of four beautiful children, is a  member of the American Counseling Association, the AACC and The Chamber of Commerce.

Kathryn L. Wenzel, MSW

    Program Director and co-founder of Art of Redirection Counseling, founder of The Women of Honor Program and Co-Founder of The Colorado Mountain Goats. She has experience teaching and training seminars on intimacy, relationships, parenting workshops and seminars individually and with Robert for over seven years. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Counseling from Colorado State University-Pueblo, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in Counseling from New Mexico Highlands University. A member of the National Association of Social Workers, active member of the National Social Work Honor Society and The Chamber of Commerce. She is married to Robert and is the mother of their four beautiful children.
